Christmas Coffee Bar
Hey y’all! Happy Saturday! I usually post on Fridays but I’ve gotten a little behind. I hope you don’t mind. 🙂 Today I wanted to share my vintage Christmas coffee bar. This is always the first area of the house that gets switched over for the holidays. I typically remove everything from this area and start from scratch. That way I’m not tempted to put things back in the same place. I highly recommend doing this when you’re switching things up. Always start with a blank canvas.
I think one of the highlights of my Christmas coffee bar is my new to me vintage Coca-Cola crate. I finally found one at a local antique shop that was priced just right! Homegirl wasn’t going to pay over $20 for one! This year’s theme to my coffee bar is vintage Christmas Farmhouse so I thought it would be a perfect addition! I have a good mix of old and new living on this coffee bar which makes my heart sing! If I could hear my heart sing I think it would be in the tune of Bing Crosby in White Christmas. My favorite Christmas movie of all time!
Another favorite vintage collectible that I’ve put up is my grandma’s antique scale. It has been in the family for many generations so I feel so lucky to have it in my life. I always remembered it out on her kitchen counter. So it’s a daily reminder of her every time I make coffee in the morning. That’s the special thing about antiques. They hold a story that can be passed down from generation to generation. I topped it off with a Rae Dunn creamer cup and some cinnamon sticks.
My mom gave me this framed Santa paper cut out last year that she had given my grandparents over 30 years ago as a Christmas gift. She cut it out by hand and framed it for them. Now that they have both passed…she has given it to me. I think I found him the perfect home this season.
I also couldn’t do my Christmas coffee bar without my fun Rae Dunn Christmas mugs that my mom and sister-in-law have given me over the years. They both know how much I adore her mugs. I love how they look on this mug rack from World Market. I placed this red stripe bowl in the center of it that I got from Target last year. I like to keep chocolate in here for those moments when a girl just needs her chocolate fix.
I get asked about these cute Buffalo check plastic plates that I’ve had for years. My mom actually picked them up at Target years ago for my nephew’s birthday party. I wish they still had them because they are so dang cute! I’m such a sucker for buffalo check during the holidays…especially the red and black. I’ve found some similar paper ones here.
Let me know in the comments what your favorite holiday drink is. I’d love to hear!
