Pink Fusion Mineral Paint

Hey friends and happy Tuesday to y’all! If you’re a regular follower you know I’ve been loving this Pink Fusion Mineral Paint for a couple years now, but I have never dabbled into any of their brighter colors…until NOW!! We went to our local retailer this past weekend and picked up the English Rose and the Fort York Red. I am so excited to be sharing these two colors with y’all this week, and hopefully the red next week for Transformation Tuesday!

Whenever I moved my vanity over to my office I realized that the Algonquin color from Fusion Mineral Paint I had previously used wasn’t really blending well with the rest of the colors in my office/beauty room anymore. I bought this campaign desk years ago from Target. It was originally black when I bought it. My office has pops of pink and gold all over, so I thought it would be fun to test out the English Rose color for this vanity project. You’re never too old for a pink vanity in my book. They came out with this color back in 2017, and I’ve secretly always wanted to use it. Here’s some pictures of what it looked like before I painted her pink. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love Algonquin but it was time for a fun change!

I took off the hardware from the three drawers and spray painted those with a metallic gold using Krylon ColorMaster in metallic gold. The easiest way to paint hardware is spray paint. It will give you the best coverage. I also put the hardware down inside a cardboard box because I was able to poke the screws down in the box as well. This will also help the spray paint from fanning out everywhere if you paint in the garage like me.

The English Rose definitely needs two coats at minimum. I found it to be a little thinner than the other colors I’ve used. Just remember less is more. Even though it goes on thinner don’t put more paint on your brush! Thinner coats makes for a smoother finish. I ended up doing three coats total, letting each coat dry for at least 30-45 minutes. I let it dry for at least 12 hours before I put my vanity stuff back on it.

I lined the drawers with the same wallpaper as my walls. I had some wallpaper left over so I thought it was the perfect place for it!

This is the perfect “millennial pink” as I think they call it. I’m absolutely smitten by it! It is such a fun pop of color that I think I needed in my office. It’s almost the exact same color pink as my pink typewriter which is so cool! Thank you Fusion Mineral Paint for making the most beautiful colors! I’m a fan for life!
