Homemade Greek Tzatziki Sauce
Greek food is by far one of my favorite styles of food. I love all of the flavors they offer. Today I’m sharing my homemade greek tzatziki sauce. I prefer mine chunky so it is a little different than authentic tzatziki. This is great for gyros, greek salads or just served over grilled meats and vegetables. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 peeled and diced cucumbers
Juice of 1 lemon
1 1/2 cups plain Non-fat Greek Yogurt *I prefer Chobani
1 TBS fresh Dill
1/2 TBS minced garlic
1 TBS kosher salt
1 tsp ground pepper
My secret ingredient: 3 TBS of dill pickle juice
Directions:
Peel cucumbers and dice into small pieces and place into a medium mixing bowl.
Take stems off of 2-3 stems of dill and add into the bowl of cucumbers.
Add 1 1/2 cups of Non-fat Greek Yogurt
Juice 1 lemon into the bowl
Add in minced garlic, pickle juice and season with salt and pepper.
