How To Create A S’mores Bar

While I was wedding planning back in 2013 I knew I wanted a s’mores bar at our reception for our guests. The execution was definitely a group effort to pull this thing off! Below I have included a few fun tips and a full list on how to create a s’mores bar for your event so you can be the hostess with the mostess! I would say my husband was definitely the creative culinary expert on this feature since he came up with the numerous s’mores recipe combinations you see here on our chalkboard. There was definitely no room for s’more after all was said and done! Sorry I couldn’t resist 🙂

Here is a full list of recipes my husband Chris came up with for our S’mores Bar

(and if you’re wondering….yes he did type this into an excel document…this is why I married this man!)

Cute white trash can for skewers and trash

My mom had someone custom make a wooden trough/planter to house the stones and sterno cans since we didn’t have a huge fire pit at our wedding. I still have this trough planter and plan on repurposing it one day into a succulent planter for our house.

My sister took all of my husband’s recipes and hand wrote them down on this mirror turned into a chalkboard. You can purchase the chalkboard peel and stick wallpaper here. Can you say handwriting perfection?! I was so sad when my mom called me one night to ask if they could erase the recipes since they needed the chalkboard for another party. It was a work of art!

My mom even dyed some of these skewers blue and yellow so they would match the colors of our wedding! Talk about attention to detail! I also love this adorable sign she made for the S’mores Bar!

I hope you have enjoyed reading along on how to create an epic S’mores Bar for a wedding, birthday party, or even this week for the 4th of July!  It was definitely a hit at our wedding and I’ll never forget it! A huge thank you to my mom for executing this dream of mine!

Some photos used in this post were taken by my lovely friend Alex Thornton of Alex Thornton Photography. She is talented beyond measure. If you are in the Southeast region of the US you should definitely check her out! Thank you friend for capturing our wedding in the most beautiful way!

Thank you for flying by my nest little birdies!

S’more love,

Robyn 🙂
