Home Tour – Before and After

Hey friends! It’s so hard to believe that it has been exactly two years today since we bought our home. I thought it was a perfect time to share our progress around here. I love seeing before and after shots of homes. There are about three other rooms that we haven’t even touched, but that’s for another day. I hope you will enjoy our house tour before and after.

Keep in mind all of the before photos were shot on my iPhone 5 two years ago so they really show the dramatic before and after. LOL 🙂

So as you can see we lightened things up a bit. You can read all about our full kitchen update here. It’s easily my favorite room of the house now.

Family Room before (please excuse my husband lying on the floor…this is the only before photo I could muster up)

We changed up the color in the kitchen and family room from country blue to my favorite Sherwin Williams Oyster Bay. It’s a wonderful grayish green neutral for this space.

Kitchen Dining Room Before

When we first moved in I had a smaller dining table in this space but I decided to put our larger custom made farmhouse table here instead since we love it so much, and really wanted to get use out of it.

Our front room has gone through some changes over the last two years mainly because I really love to switch around furniture. Here is the before shot of the front room.

I am so happy about this little nook of our house. At first we had our love seat here as a reading area but the table is so much better I think. We find ourselves eating breakfast here on the weekends. You can read about how I redid this table here.

This is our upstairs loft where we like to hang out and watch TV. The left corner is where my home office is.

My little corner office before shot. This black shelf was already here when we purchased the house so I thought it would be the perfect spot for my home office.

Our bedroom is another one of my favorite before and afters. Earlier this year we updated our furniture. Before we just had a mashup of all of the different furniture we had when we first moved in together over 7 years ago. Let’s just say it was time to upgrade. Here’s a before shot. The room was a pale yellow and I painted it to Sherwin Williams Mindful Gray.
