Make Your Bed Like the Magazines

Hey friends and welcome back! It’s FRIDAAAY!!!! Woop Woop! Making your bed may seem like a mundane task, but honestly it really makes such a difference every day when you make your bed. It’s the first chore of the day…but for whatever reason I really love to start the day that way! It helps me have a better day in a weird way. Maybe because I know when it’s time to crawl into bed after a long day, that I know I have a freshly made bed to get into and not some disheveled bed with sheets all the way down to the floor. We’ve all been there! So here’s a few tips on how to make your bed like the magazines!

I also picked up some extra standard pillow cases by Peacock Alley for $24.99 that are normally $110.00! The pillow cases are super soft and smooth, and are also 100% cotton sateen. In the past I was always constantly flipping my pillow to get the cooler side, but I noticed last night with these new sheets that I didn’t have to do that. It makes such a difference to sleep with high quality sheets.

A Few Easy Tips for Making Your Bed Magazine Worthy!

1. Hospital Fold at the bottom edges with the flat sheet
2. Heavier quilt for the colder months
3. Coverlet or lightweight quilt over top of your heavier quilt
4. Fold all three layers down about a 1/4 of the way down your bed to give a flap over that’s nice and fluffy
5. Add four pillows, 2 per side sitting up against your headboard
6. Then add 3 Euro Shams across your bed
7. 2 King shams that match your quilt placed in front of your Euro shams
8. Pop on an accent pillow or pillows in front of your king shams for personality
9. Optional throw at the end of your bed for added texture
10. Tuck in your fold over to have a clean look on the sides of your bed

I absolutely love the detail on the top edge of the sheets. It’s such a classic look. These sheets also have a nice sheen to them as well.
