Fall Bedroom Update

If you read my blog earlier this week you saw that I decided to get some new bedding for Fall and Winter for our bedroom. If you missed that blog you can click here. I rounded up some of my favorite affordable bedding while I was shopping online. This bedding set from Eddie Bauer was on such a great sale that I couldn’t resist. I’ve been wanting buffalo check bedding for quite some time, and I’m happy that I finally found a set that I love at an affordable price.

I also filmed a video for this blog as well if you’re interested in watching me transform our bedroom. You can find it here on YouTube or on IGTV. I’d love for you to subscribe while you’re over there. Let’s get to the Fall Bedroom Update shall we?

^^ Bedspread: Eddie Bauer | Large Pillow Shams: Ikea | Rug: Wayfair | Bench: Christopher Knight Home | Bed: Ashley Furniture | Night Stands: Ashley Furniture |Buffalo Check Pillows: Amazon |Throw: Nordstrom |Dresser: Ashley Furniture | White Curtains: Amazon | Birch Wreath: Smith and Hawken (Target a few years ago) |Buffalo Check Pumpkin: TJ Maxx |Candle: Hazel Candle Co. | Candle Holder : Hobby Lobby | Lamps: Target | Love Pillow: Target years ago

Needless to say this bedding is the star of the show. For our bedroom I like to keep it very neutral because I find that more calming at night. I think this pattern was perfect for our space. We have very neutral walls, flooring, and bedroom set, so it was nice to elevate it a little with a nice pattern. I feel like buffalo check is such a classic pattern that will never go out of style.

I had also picked up this adorable pumpkin from TJ Maxx the other week that I had to incorporate. I think it’s actually a door stop because it has some weight to it. Of course my cat went straight for the stem as soon as I put it on our bench. Little rascal!

I may get some colorful pillows for the bed just for an added pop of color. I like to just buy the covers instead of the whole pillow since they are easier to store that way. Hobby Lobby has a great aisle full of pillow covers, and it’s so much cheaper than buying a $20 pillow each time!

I switched out our magnolia wreath with this birch tree wreath for the Fall and Winter months. Hopefully it doesn’t fall on our heads during the night, because that thing is dense!

I kept our bedside tables rather clear. I don’t like a lot of clutter and decor on the tables. The best way to keep things simple is I try and keep all my essentials in the drawers instead of on the table top itself. Since I took down the magnolia wreath above the bed, I just added a small plant to my bedside table right beside the window for a pop of green.

And the easiest way to add instant cozy to a bedroom is to drape a cozy throw to the edge of your bed. If you just pic up the one of the corners and just throw it, it make a nice cascade on your bed.

Lastly I just added some of my buffalo check pillows to our bench for some added pattern. I told my husband I could have a whole room full of buffalo check and would be such a happy person. Anyone else?

I hope you’ve enjoyed this little Fall Bedroom Update today. Here’s a little shot of the behind the scenes. Whenever I film a video I tend to just throw everything into a corner out of shot, and then hate when I have to clean everything up. I hope you have a wonderful weekend friends! Let me know in the comments if you change your bedroom for each season. I’d love to know!

I swear I don’t pose my cats. It’s like they love “coming to work” with me and just want to be featured. LOL!
