DIY Mini Candlestick Lamps

The other night at 3 am I had the idea to add mini lampshades to our battery operated candlesticks to create mini candlestick lamps. These would be perfect for tablescapes, mantles or anywhere you need some ambient lighting where there is no outlet available.

All you need are some battery operated candlesticks, a mini lampshade and a candle taper holder. Many of you may even have these items already in your home. The beauty of this is that you create many different look’s depending on your shades and your taper holders.

I love these battery operated candlesticks because they come with a timer and will come on each evening at the same time and stay on for 2, 4 or 6 hours. I originally purchased them for our Christmas candle lights in our windows. Just remember to remove the batteries when you store them otherwise the batteries will corrode.

The mini lampshades I found on Amazon, but to add a bit of personality to them I hot glued some velvet trim ribbon to them. You can watch the reel on that DIY on here.

The addition of the mini lampshades just elevates the look of your candlesticks. Let me know if you try this easy DIY. I’d love to see your mini lamps!

Robyn
