Neutral Fall Tablescape

Happy first day of Fall y’all! I don’t think I’ve actually shared a tablescape in our formal dining room before. This tablescape isn’t super formal. I still used my everyday white plates and silverware. I wanted to share something that you could easily recreate! So without further adieu let’s get into this Neutral Fall Tablescape shall we!

I first laid down one of our linen and cotton blend tablecloths that has a gold metallic striping detail. Then I created an easy centerpiece using a large clear vase with eucalyptus stems and gold pom pom stems from Michaels. Be sure to use a centerpiece that is easy to remove once the guests sit down, unless it’s something low that doesn’t distract from seeing the person across the table.

I think my favorite part is probably the golden leaf garland. I used two garlands for our table to create a runner look. You can also use real branches from your yard as well. I would most likely do this especially if I was actually having a dinner party that day so they are nice and fresh!

Layering your place settings with multiple placemats, plates and chargers gives your table that extra special look. For this table I used these neutral square placemats, round gold chargers from Dollar Tree, and then layered my dinner and salad bowl slightly turned on an angle. To top it off I used neutral fabric napkins and a silver napkin ring holder.

I like to use fun objects as my place settings. So for instance I placed little green pears on each place holders where I can attach a piece of paper to the pear so everyone knows where they are sitting. You can do this with real pumpkins and draw their names on the pumpkins. That way they can take them home at the end of the night. Or for Christmas I like to do ornaments. You can use any little trinket that your guest can take home as a surcie.

Last element is lighting. Be sure to set the mood with some nice tapered candle sticks. I used my grandparents collection of pewter candle stick holders for this tablescape as well as a set of their wine glasses. Don’t be afraid to mix metals. I love using gold and silver together.

Thank you so much for flying by today. I’ve tried to link everything I used below. Happy Fall and happy decorating! Check out more of my tablescapes here.
