I’m no food blogger so I will get right to the recipe. I promise I won’t make you scroll all the way to the bottom. If you want to see more pictures of the process, those will be listed below the directions.

Baked Spaghetti Squash - Robyn's Southern Nest
Ingredients:
1 large Spaghetti Squash
1 TBS olive oil
1 lb ground beef (I use the 93/7)
1 24 oz jar of Traditional Prego Sauce
1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
1 TBS minced garlic
1/2 cup shredded parmesan
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp dried basil
3 TBS unsalted melted butter
Pam Spray
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
*Preheat oven to 350 degrees*
1. Pierce the spaghetti squash with a knife making small holes all around your squash.
2. Place squash in microwave and heat for 5 minutes on each side. Turn over after 5 minutes and heat the other side. This will allow you to get it soft enough to cut open and slightly cook.
3. While that is heating, warm up 1 TBS of olive oil in a saute pan over medium high heat.
4. Brown your ground beef. Add in 1 TBS of minced garlic and stir well.
5. Drain any access fat once the beef has browned.
6. Pour in the Prego Traditional sauce over the beef and stir to mix well.
7. Mix in your seasonings (thyme, garlic powder, 1 tsp Italian seasoning, and basil)
8. Let that simmer for at least 10 minutes.
9. While that is simmering get out your spaghetti squash *Caution that sucker will be hot, use oven mits!* Cut it lengthwise in half. Scoop out any seeds you see on top and disregard.
10. Take a fork and scrape out the squash onto a plate or bowl.
11. Once you have scraped out all the squash season it with the remaining tsp of Italian seasoning and a dash of salt and pepper to taste.
11. Mix the squash into your sauce and meat and let that simmer for 5 minutes.
12. Melt 3 TBS of butter in a small bowl in the microwave.
13. Take your melted butter and mix in 1 cup of Panko breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese, and a dash of Italian Seasoning.
14. Spray Pam on your 9 x 13 baking dish.
15. Pour in the spaghetti squash and sauce mixture into your baking dish making sure it's evenly coating the dish.
16. Spread your 2 cups of mozzarella over the whole dish.
17. Top with your breadcrumb mixture.
18. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
19. Once baked let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
20. Enjoy!
