Fusion Mineral Paint Sterling
Since I’ve been transforming a lot of furniture lately using Fusion Mineral Paint Sterling, I’ve decided to make it a weekly series and call it “Transformation Tuesday”. My latest project was this little console entryway table that I’ve had for years. It was my parents originally. I remember as a kid it was in our bright pink foyer and I would look at myself in the mirror that hung above it before I left for school. Back then it was a cherry wood with that lovely brass hardware. You know what I’m talking about. 🙂
Last year I had painted it white and put a glaze on it. After I did it, I really wasn’t pleased with it at all. It looked too “stripey”. I know that’s not a word, but I’m going with it. I also hadn’t found any hardware for it either. So I for whatever reason put these random silver knobs on it. Not cute Robyn…not cute! So there it sat in the corner of our loft looking really sad and abandoned. Until now! Home girl has a new lease on life now with her fresh makeup and jewelry! Watch out!
For this paint project I used my trusty Fusion Mineral Paint in the color Sterling. I had never used this color gray before so I was really excited to see how it would turn out. Just when I thought I loved the color “Little Lamb”, here comes “Sterling” looking all sweet and cute too! It’s a really nice lighter gray.
I did two coats as usual and I let the last coat dry for a good 24 hours before putting on the hardware. It’s rather warm outside and I paint out in my garage so it dries very fast. It’s typically dry to the touch within 30 minutes!
I had some Hobby Lobby knobs left over from another project that I thought would look perfect on here. Yes, the drawers were built for a pull but I decided two little knobs looked really cute.
If you want to check out my other Fusion Mineral Paint projects I will link them down below. Also, if there are any colors in the Fusion Mineral Paint line that you have been wanting to try, but want to see them before you commit please let me know!
Thank you for flying by sweet friends! I hope y’all have a wonderful week ahead!
xoxo,
Robyn
