So the other day I decided to do a quick and Easy Neutral Fall Tablescape that you can literally put together in about 10 minutes. My centerpiece is a galvanized feeder that I purchased from Hobby Lobby and I quickly just filled it up with small pumpkins that I got from the Target dollar spot last year.

I think the easiest way to elevate any tablescape is layering. I like to first start off with a table runner. This one I used is from either TJ Maxx or HomeGoods. It’s super neutral and perfect for Fall. My second layer are these every day woven chargers from Hobby Lobby, and then I topped those with these galvanized chargers that are a little bit smaller from Hobby lobby as well. Then I just placed the dinner plate on top of the folded napkin.

I always like to display the napkin in different ways when I do a tablescape. This time I decided to place it folded longways underneath the plate just for an added layered look.

On top of the plate I like to put a little trinket that my guests can take home with them as a little special surcie. In this case they were little white pumpkins. During the holidays I like to put an ornament at each spot. If you’re having a dinner party that is more formal you can always put place cards at each seat by tying the place card on the special surcie that you’re giving them. If you’re thinking what the heck is a “surcie” Robyn, it’s a little gift you give someone for no reason at all. Growing up my mom owned a gift store called Surcie’s by Jody where she sold gifts just for that very reason.

In fact the hand-painted pumpkin pillowcases that you see on my bench were hand-painted by my mom. It is very handy to have a mom who’s an artist. I asked her to make me these a couple years ago and they were exactly what I had envisioned. So thank you mom!

The last element that is essential to my tablescapes is candlelight. I think that it just gives your table that added ambience that makes any space feel welcoming and special. I picked up these mercury glass candle stick holders from Michael’s. They go perfectly with so many different styles.

So there you have it.
