How to Style Your Sink

How to Style Your Sink

Hey y’all and Happy Monday! Back in June I started a new hashtag called #styledsink over on Instagram. I wanted to showcase people’s beautiful styled sinks. I’m a lover of farmhouse sinks and was more than excited when we purchased our Ikea Domsjo apron sink, which sadly they do not make anymore 🙁 . It is easily my favorite feature in our kitchen. There are so many cool ways to style your sink and I wanted to share a few of my easy tips with you that can make your sink look styled and cute!

A Few Easy Tips to Style Your Sink:

  1. Add a plant/flowers real or faux to add some life and color
  2. Pick a color scheme…but don’t go overboard with it. Just a nice mix of color.
  3. Show off your soaps with a cute container. Grove collaborative is where I purchase most of mine. I love Mrs. Meyer’s because they have such awesome colored labels.
  4. Drape a cute tea towel or kitchen towel over the apron of your sink for each season
  5. Throw in your favorite scented candle to add in some ambiance
  6. Have a ceramic tray to house your soaps or scrub brushes so you can easily clean it off and you won’t leave water marks on your counter.
  7. Mix in some wood elements. I love adding wood to all of my styled sink sessions. It helps to add texture and warmth.
