Transitional Dining Room
Transitional Dining Room
Happy Monday y’all! I got inspired to create this transitional dining room because, number one it’s so fun for me and number two I’m loving the sweet combination of lambs ear and cotton together. I think it’s the perfect duo for transitioning from Summer to Fall. There is something so fun about setting up a table because I feel like I’m telling a story. A dash of texture here, a little ambiance here…ahhh!! I love it so much! If I could stage spaces for magazines I would be such a happy woman! It’s definitely one of my favorite past times! Anywho…sorry for that little tangent. I will link all items at the end for you to shop as well. Enjoy!
I always start with the centerpiece and work my way out. I had this recycled glass jug from Decor Steals on my breakfast nook table so I stole it for this project.
At one end I put my pedestal board from Pottery Barn and styled it with my favorite Flashpoint candle that has a hint of blue on the interior to match all the blue glass. This other vase is from Hobby Lobby.
I placed a few sprigs of lambs ear and cotton on each end of the table to add some texture as well as some vase filler to fill in any sparse areas of the table.
The woven placemats are a staple for creating a natural tablescape in my opinion. We get so much use out of these! I topped those with a white charger and then my x patterned plates from Hearth and Hand.
I wanted a creative topper to the plates so I grabbed my mason jars and topped some of them with cotton balls and the others with a waterfall of napkins.
On my sideboard I draped some lambs ear garland to coordinate with my tablescape and put some candles in my milk glass vases to give some added ambiance!

Where did you get the table and bench?

It was actually a custom built piece made by a local couple who unfortunately don’t make them anymore.

Here’s all of my paint colors. I kept the ones up from our old house as well. Hope this helps.
