Courtyard Glow Up • Robyn's Southern Nest

This little courtyard has needed some TLC for quite sometime. Nothing like hosting a party in a few months to get your booty in gear. I knew I wanted something wrought iron out here to withstand the weather. It gets that hot afternoon sun so an umbrella was a must.

Enter this wrought iron dining set from Better Homes and Gardens that I found for a steal on Walmart.com. It’s the perfect size and I love that the chairs have a rocking feature to them. It came with light red cushions, but I opted to buy my own set for the Spring and Summer months. It will be nice to switch them out in the Fall/Winter as well.

The Studio McGee umbrella had to come home with me. We drove an hour to get it but it was definitely worth it. I reminds me of a flower stand and is the perfect shade of Robyn’s Southern. Nest green. I had originally purchased the striped chair cushions for our side porch rocking chairs, and I loved them so much I ordered four more for this set as well. They aren’t rounded on the back like the original cushions but they are still just as comfortable.

Last night Chris and I came out here and talked for hours after baby girl went to sleep. It was a warm clear night and the perfect end to the day.

I can’t wait for our hibiscus to bloom and the confederate jasmine is almost about to bloom around the doorway and up the stairs. Our pansies are still holding on, which I’ll probably switch to vincas or petunias once they are spent.
