Office Beverage Bar - Robyn's Southern Nest

Beverage Bar

Hey y’all and welcome back! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! The other week I decided that I needed a little beverage bar upstairs in my office. You know…first world problems like, I don’t want to have to walk all the way downstairs to get a drink. I gave myself a budget of $50 to make it happen. I hope you enjoy this tour of my office beverage bar!

This dresser was in a spare bedroom that wasn’t really being utilized, so I pushed it across the floor and stationed her in place. I had some other smaller white knobs on her, but they were too small to grip when you needed to open the drawers, so I took to my trusty Hobby Lobby and found the perfect new knobs for her. Before I shop Hobby Lobby I like to wait until they are 50%. They were only $2 each after 50% off!

I’m telling you, hardware is just like jewelry for furniture. It can bring a piece back to life! Like the icing on a cake! I think these also help give it more character and interest. Their hardware is super easy to install since they come with a washer and bolt already. Just screw those babies on and you’re good to go!

Because this dresser is pretty narrow I knew I needed some height to display all the “goods” if you will. I wasn’t really utilizing my galvanized tray for much of anything, so I used it to house all of my smaller items, like tea bags, straws, cups, snack bars, etc. I really wish they still made this tiered tray at Wal-Mart. It was such a good buy! I’ll try and find a similar one and link it below for y’all. They certainly come in handy for entertaining, beverage bars, and a cute catchall for your kitchen counter.

I think one of my favorite additions to this space was finding a home for these Hearth and Hand art frames I had found on clearance at a local thrift store. They were only $3 each. They were still office oriented, so I thought it tied this space back to my desk area perfectly. Next up was plants or flowers. I had this recycled glass vase from Hobby Lobby already and I dug out some of my Spring flowers and voile!

Another perfect way to style a beverage bar or bar cart is sparkling water. I like to use Pellegrino bottles because I love the green glass. They make any area look very sophisticated! I added a little ambience with a candle from Target that I bought a surplus of because they were 90% off. It’s an Opalhouse candle that was only $1.29! When I was in Target even the employees were like where did you find those candles?! They smell absolutely delicious! I of course raided the Dollar Spot for any fun accessories as well. I picked up a cute pink letterboard for $3, polka dot paper coffee cups, and some llama napkins! No beverage bar is complete without llama napkins. Helloooo!!!!

Since I didn’t want to invest in another coffee maker right now, I decided to bring up my Cuisinart tea kettle so I could use my french press for coffee, or even use it to heat up water for hot tea and cocoa. I used my grandma’s pink depression glass cookie jar for my coffee grounds for easy access. Maybe down the road I will get a mini fridge for some cold drinks, but for now I’m loving it! The other morning I walked out of my bedroom and made coffee in 2 steps!!! So friends…if you work at home and have an office I highly recommend putting together a little beverage bar!
