Let’s get this Party started shall we? Click on my 80s Dance Playlist so this “About Me” read is a little less boring. lol! I’m an 80s baby afterall!

Hi y’all! I’m Robyn Davis. I’m so happy that you came across my little blog. About four years ago I started this blog to document us making our very first house in Georgia into a home. I have enjoyed sharing all the trials and tribulations that come with home ownership. Fast forward four years, and we have moved back to a small town in South Carolina to plant our roots in our favorite state. We finally found our dream home after a solid year of searching, and she was well worth the wait. You can read more about our house here. Or you can watch the empty house tour below!

Where do I begin? Hmmm…well I met my husband Chris in college at the University of South Carolina…Go Cocks!!!, but little did we know that a couple of years after graduating that we would reunite and eventually be married. Funny how things work out in life. I can honestly say I would be lost without him. He is the cream to my coffee, the Bucky to my Captain America, the absolute love of my life!

When Chris and I were first together he always asked me what are your hobbies? And honestly I never really gave it much thought. I would always find new things to get into whether it be making jewelry (short lived), watching Bravo as if it were my job, even thought about being a YouTuber at one time. But it wasn’t until very recently that I have finally found my niche. I LOVE home decor and design. I also really love to refinish furniture and dabble in a few DIY projects as well. My very talented mom and grandfather also loved thrifting, antiquing, making and painting furniture, so I guess it runs in the family. There is something so gratifying about making things new again.

I’m a new mom! We had our first child back in June 2023. A mom is all I ever wanted to be in life. We tried for 9 years and I finally got pregnant in the Fall of 2022. She is a true blessing and we’re so lucky to be her parents. The one thing we wanted way before having her was that we were going to keep her privacy online. So you won’t see me sharing her name or face online. Once she’s old enough to decide for herself if she wants to be shared on here. But until then just know she’s just the cutest and she looks more like her daddy but has her mom’s eyes.

Meet Our Pets

We don’t have any kids yet so our pets are our world. We have a cat and a dog named Sunny D. and Kato Potato. You can follow along with them here on Instagram.

We rescued little Sunny D. September 2018 (orange Maine Coon/Tabby Mix). He was on the side of the road right outside our neighborhood. He was only about six weeks old covered in fleas and looked like he had gotten in a briar patch. My husband says he looks like a cat that would yell “Cowabunga Dude”. I mean look at him!

Our little Kato Potato (Tri-color Pembroke Welsh Corgi) we re-homed from a family here in South Carolina Fall 2020. He was only 6 months old. He is such a good fella. I always tell Chris that Kato is him in dog form. They share many personality traits.

Thanks for flying by friends! I am so glad you’re here! If you’d like to stay up to date be sure to subscribe to my newsletter!

xoxo,

Robyn
