How to Re-fluff Your Throw Pillows

Hey y’all and welcome back! The other day I looked over at our sofa upstairs and I noticed how some of our throw pillows were looking like flat pancakes. So I took a chance and threw one of them in the washing machine just to see how it would work. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it turned out. So I’ve put together 5 easy tips for you guys on how to re-fluff your throw pillows that are looking as flat as Flat Stanley. Let me know in the comments if you know who Flat Stanley is. ๐Ÿ™‚

Tip #1

Only wash 3 at a time. I set the machine on normal cycle with warm water. You don’t want to overload your washer that way they have enough room to get fluffy.

Tip #2

These two laundry products are a dream pair in my opinion! The Method Laundry detergent and the fabric softener are simply amazing! Our laundry has never smelled better. I put a capful of each of these into the wash.

Tip #3

Take the pillows out right after the load is finished. That way they won’t get that mildew smell. I like to set the chime on my washer that way I don’t forget.

Tip #4

This is the most important tip of all 5 tips! I used the Grove Collaborative wool dryer balls in with the pillows. The weight of these balls will help fluff your pillows while they are drying. Essentially your pillows get a beating while their drying to ensure maximum fluffiness. They also lower your drying time too! Three pillows only took about 20 minutes to dry.

Tip #5

I also like to add a few drops of my favorite essential oil to each dryer ball to give the laundry an added fresh scent. Lemon essential oil has been my go to for our laundry lately. It pairs really well with the mango ginger laundry detergent scent.
