Loft Tour

Happy Monday y’all! Last week one night at about 9:30 pm I decided to rearrange the furniture in our upstairs loft. The furniture had been in the same place for two years and that was just not flying anymore in my book. If you know me, you know I’m notorious for switching things around all the time. So I pushed and shoved all the things all by myself. I wanted the TV on the opposite wall so there wouldn’t be any glare from the windows when you’re watching TV. Before I had it on the same wall as my desk and I felt like the TV was so far away from the sofa. I also realized that I haven’t done a full loft tour on my blog either. So I hope you enjoy this little loft tour!

The loft is a very girly space since my husband has his own man cave in the basement. My main colors as you can see are gray, black, pink and gold. It’s kind of an eclectic space and really doesn’t follow one particular style which I really like. I just wanted to be surrounded by things that I loved.

I changed the configuration of my desk as well. If I had kept it in the L shape it would have been a tight squeeze to get by when walking around to the sofa. I do like it better since now I can look out the window while I’m working instead of having my back to it.

Here’s a before shot of my office area.

After…

Eventually I would like to get a TV unit for this wall with storage so we don’t have to use these cubbies as a TV stand. These cubbies will definitely come in handy when we have kids one day so I wouldn’t get rid of them completely.

Of course my Mickey D had to make an appearance in my photo shoot. He’s the best accessory to any room I’ve decided. 🙂 He’s such a natural! Look at those crossed paws. Such a gentleman.

I so admire talented people! Just so you know I am thrilled when I get the blogs from you. You are absolutely incredible. However, please be careful moving heavy furniture yourself. Remember we have to take care of ourselves. Keep us the blogs and your wonderful work!
