Farmhouse Fall & Halloween Decor

Welcome back to my blog. If you are a new reader welcome and thank you for flying by my nest! Its a dreary rainy day and a perfect time to share some of the Fall decorations around our home. The air is filled with Fall candles burning, hot apple cider, and Miranda Lambert’s new album. These are the best kind of days. Just taking it easy and enjoying being in my cozy little environment I call home.

The first place I always start decorating for the different seasons is our coffee bar. Its so fun to switch it out for the different holidays. I picked up some stuff at Target Dollar Spot of course, and a few different bits and bobs I’ve had from years past. I think my favorite part is the boo ghost lights I found at Target. They are so dang adorable!

The second place was our family room. I love decorating the mantel with seasonal decor. I first had up the Fall Y’all banner that I made with a blank banner from Target, but today I transitioned it to the bats for Halloween. I don’t go all out for Halloween but I do have a few things here and there as you will see. One year I want to have a Halloween party and go all out. Maybe one day when we have kids. I think Halloween is so much fun when little kids are around!

We don’t use our dining room table a lot but I thought it would be cool to dress it up as if company were coming, because why not? We have yet to hit up the pumpkin patch so I’m sure I’ll be adding more gourds and pumpkins to the table once that happens. I also found these adorable and affordable Buffalo Check napkins on Amazon.

This year I decided to add a few Fall elements to our downstairs powder room as well. I had these pumpkins on our porch last year, but I decided they would look cute in here with a little diy banner (again from Target). I’ve had this cute jack o’ lantern for years and I just thought he would look cute in here. (Please forgive the very warm light photos. This bathroom doesn’t have any natural light.)

I asked my mom, who’s an artist, to paint me some canvas pumpkin pillows in white for our home. I had seen a few on Etsy that were adorable, but I knew my mom would knock it out of the park. I keep them on a rotation around our house. Right now I have them in our sitting room on our love seat which I think is where they should stay.

I have a slight obsession with tiered trays if you haven’t noticed already. They are just so fun to switch out and decorate for the holidays as well. Here are two of my favorite tiered trays. I picked up the four-tiered one at Hobby Lobby on clearance, and the two-tiered one is from Antique Farmhouse.

Upstairs in our Loft I haven’t really done much other than plop this cute little gold and white striped pumpkin on our side table. It was $6 on super clearance at Hobby Lobby last year. That is where I end up getting most of my seasonal decor…on clearance!

I am still working on sprucing up our entry way for Fall. I need to add some real pumpkins and maybe switch out the pillows as well. I think the easiest way to “Fall up” your home is to drape a throw or scarf like this one from Amazon over a piece of furniture. It’s an instant fix to give a space a cozy and warm feel.

Lastly I had to put out some Halloween candy in this super cute Nora Fleming bowl my mom gave us as a housewarming gift. The little ornaments are removable so you change them out for each different holiday. I just love the pumpkin ornament! There is no way this batch of candy will make it to Halloween, but it sure does look cute in this picture! Reese’s pumpkins are my absolute fav!
